moisture meters comparisions same manufacturer different part #'s?

was looking on amazon and ebay and this model HQRP 2 pin has 2 different models either a JT 2G or an MD 2G ,spoke to people at amazon and they coulds not tell me the difference can anyone here ?

I had the same issue. My best guess is that the MD was the old model but that they're now selling the newer JT (with led display) under both model numbers.

I don't know if the JT internals are basically the same as the MD. If they are, this is not good news as the MD didn't get good reviews:

that meter should be fine but i would buy longer probes the short probes dont give good readings for firewood.
