Fireplace is on its way. My question is the outdoor air kit will be pulling air through a 3 season porch unless i run it through the floor. If i run it through the floor to the underside of the deck, (5' of clearance under deck) should i still put a loop in the duct like i would on an outside wall? Would i be better off with the remote damper pictured below piped with hard pipe through the floor so i can keep air from pulling through the chimney when it's not burning? This run would be under 2 feet.
