On the upper left corner of the rear firewall is a small hole maybe an 1/8" diameter. This is the negative pressure switch inlet. DO NOT put your shop vac anywhere near it or you will pop the sensor which is a very sensitive diaphragm. If this sensor goes bad (which does not happen a lot) or if you leave the door or ashpan unsecure you will have a #2 flash on the board as the stove goes into a shut down. Another reason for the stove to shut down and flash #2 is a clogged chimney. The stove will not relight unless you bypass the switch by connecting the two wires together, hint to check on a bad switch you can try this but this is a temporary check.
If you do a real good cleaning remove a back or side panel and pull the red or blue hose (newer models) from the diaphragm, the hose running to the little round thing or negative pressure switch. Then shop vac away. This hole also needs to remain unclogged you can use a q-tip or remove the hose from the switch and blow into the hose but close the door because it will make a mess with the ash in the hole.
Please remember this is all common sense. I am not telling you how to run a stove by bypassing safety features. These are cleaning and trouble shooting ideas. You are the person bringing fire into your house, not me. If you mess with fire you will get burned. Respect it.
