Greetings all fellow pellet hogs! So......been a long time forum member and loves all the information you all and myself often give to folks that come on this site!
So......this is my situation. My Earthstove I have been using since 2000 has finally gone since parts are very limited. So my setup I have with the Earthstove TP440 is 4" pipe coming from the top of the stove up about 7 feet and out via wall thimble to the outside....and up over my roofline which is two stories.....
I have ordered at Harman XXV which should be in soon. I have spoken to the folks that I ordered from and they need to replace the piping since its 3" for the Harman stove and I'll have to purchase a new 3" thimble and terminate the piping I have outside going up the house? Still waiting to speak with someone today but my question is can't they use a 3" to 4" adaptor instead of replacing all my 4" piping?
Also I did not ever need an OAK for my Earthstove. House is about 20 years old and is not air tight and never had any issues since what.....2000 when it was installed......so can folks ring in as to the pro's and con's on that subject? I do use the 'search' function also so no wise guys
Squire Lumber in Monson Mass is where i'm making my purchase.
Any comments would be great
Thanks!
