image.jpg Well, I finally found a truck that I could afford. I bought this off my Co worker. 1996 ford f 150, in line 6, 4.9 liter auto, great tread, great interior, Eddie Bauer, little rust, new in box yet, head lights, turn and running lights, and new jvc radio. all for $1500.00 145,000miles

Nice! That'll do. Watch the weight. I also haul with a half-ton, but due to weight limitations, usually resort to hauling a trailer with it.

Those inline 6s run forever. Nice score and a good price!

Nice scavenge. I need to do something similar soon. A nice little 6 with a 4 speed would suit me fine. Problem is too few folks buy new manual transmissions so used ones are rare.

I think a 3/4 ton and up Dodge is the only new truck you can even get a handshaker in any more?
