The empty pallets with one row is what i went through last year, basically my first year burning. There was 5 rows there. I told myself in the spring to get that refilled ASAP so i could get 3 years ahead, and give that wood two full summers to dry, but what do you know, it August and I just finished the first row...crap...time to get splitting fast! Time flies.
I bring all my wood in from my buddies house a pickup truck load at a time about 15 min away who has a outside boiler. We cut and split about 12 cords a year in the fall for him for that winter with a splitter, and basically he tells me "take what you need" because I help him. Usually, I'll just bring rounds home and split them on my own time because splitting ash with the X27 is fun for me. Id like to get a log truck delivery at some point in the next few years, but I'd like to keep that area neat because its right next to my driveway, and with all the sawdust i'm thinking, wishful thinking.
