Yeah, that's been on here a few times and some members tried to set him straight in the comments.
Damn it. Based on this review I am canceling my order.

Yeah we beat him up pretty good! He actually posted another video of it burning properly and I still don't think he was satisfied with the heat output. He was bound to be unhappy no matter what.
Honestly . . . I could care less about the fact that he clearly has no idea of how the stove is supposed to work to efficiently put out heat . . . or the fact that he thinks a stove glowing red is a good thing as it is producing heat . . . or that the wood or oxygen mix is not good based on the amount of gunk on his glass . . . or the fact that he has no idea of what a really hot fire is (unless his hand is calibrated somehow).
What concerns me isn't the fact that the guy is clueless about the stove and the heat output . . . it's the fact that he has a chunk of wood on top of his stove and several other pieces just inches away from the running stove. If he thinks the stove will never put out heat and continues with these practices I suspect he may end up with all the heat he ever will want to see . . . in the stove. . . . around the stove . . . in the living room . . . in the bedroom . . . of course he may be standing outside in the snow in his boxer shorts at the time.
Dangerous ignorance.

The first time I fired up my stove, I got lots of heat. I did get better after seeing a post on here explaining the air lever, which I didn't fully understand had to be closed to get the highest heat output. I can't imagine he could not feel any heat.

And even said right up front that the first one was busted. Boy was I pissed about that. The old stove had split and it was December. And I am old. And moving stoves hurts.
I think you know all about that moving stoves stuff. Just not the old part.

I'm hoping for 10 hours of usable heat. 12 would be fantastic. I'm thinking that due to the fact that I am over-sizing the hell out of the space it might give me the 12 hours. We'll see.
Cook it right and in ten hours you will be around 250 stove top. They ain't magic like them cat stoves. But that fireplace is gonna hold a bunch of heat from that sucker to slowly put back in the room.

Oh, I know. My post was tongue in cheek. I remember someone giving you hell about it and claiming you were pushing them onto members.
That's what I figured. I was also thinking I could probably hold off on reloading until it hit 200 degrees due to the over-sizing factor. We'll see how that works out. I don't need more heat, hell, I was fine with the Heritage. I just needed longer heat.
If I can get 10+ from the 30, 10-14 from the Defiant, and 8-10 from the Encore it will be the greatest god damn winter ever. I might crap a rainbow.
I have caught the 30 doing crazy stuff like having coals for a reload 15 hours after I slept too late.

I remember that. I challenged them to dig up a post doing that. Never heard from them again.
I think folks just ought to have a wood stove they like to look at and heats their house and makes them happy. I could not care less what stove that is. Lotta great ones out there.
I know how he feels, I'd be glad to get rid of my NC30 and get something with grates or make my own stove.
Its amazing what Dry wood will do.... Air wide open, stove full of wet wood...

... and why does he point out verbally and in text that he's using seasoned wood? That stuff stacked on the stove looks too clean and fresh to be seasoned, IMO.
I can see any beginner having the same frustration, but...
I guess there's no hope for the guy.
