I have a Frontier 1980 wood stove. I would like to install it in my basement as a secondary heat source to get through the last 2 months of winter (daytime use only.). What I would like to know is if these units had a smoke shelf/baffle in them. this one doesn't seem to have one in it. Also the vent knobs on the doors apper to be completly decorative as there are no holes on the inside of the doors. we are installing a outside wood boiler this summer fuel oil in Michigan is crazy right now.
