I know a lot of you check your own chimneys--but I need someone else to do this. Now that I have been running my new stove for a few months I would like to get it checked for creosote just to make sure I am doing everything right. Wondering if anyone in the Boston area has a chimney sweep that they think it reliable.

I have been using Master Chimney--anyone know them? They say they don't go on the roof--clean by taking pipes apart and that this is standard practice. Does that seem right?

The Chelmsford fireplace store gave me some cards of some folks they trust. I have not used them yet. But you can Inquire. Sweepnman Chimney Sweeps (www.sweepnman.com), and a fella by the name of Stephen Brissette ([email protected])

you could try august west in pembroke
