My neighbor just received an old stove and if anyone could furnish any information about it he would appreciate it. It looks like it is a Warnock Hershey model 2007. It needs a bit of tlc in rebuilding but the strangest thing is I don't see a draft control on this thing.

Looks like a US Stove Co. King 2007 model.

No idea but it sure looks like the one I just installed in the shed. Very odd that is does not have any air control.

Thanks Dave. I already have that one downloaded.

I wonder what the difference is between the 2007 and 2007b?

I have the same stove in our workshop. Mine is a USSC King 2007 and it does not have a draft control. I didn't notice this due to my ignorance when I bought it from Tractor Supply. We use a piece of flat stock steel wedged above the door gasket to block the primary air intake holes along the top of the stove. This is the only way we can control the fire. I should fabricate a sliding control but I'm too lazy. If you don't control the air it will get really hot fast. Not a bad heater but no air control is absurd in my opinion. I do have a key damper in the stove pipe but it doesn't control the air nearly enough.

Thanks fortydegnorth. I was afraid of that with no draft control.

Lame, I'm surprised they even let it go on the market.

I agree BeGreen and I think I have him convinced to not use that stove. Instead, he is going to put in my old Ashley stove to get through the winter. Then because all he has for firewood is red oak, I'll have to end up supplying him with wood for this year. But they are a really good family and I don't want them to freeze.

Did anyone notice all of the dead beer in SKIN052 toolshed?

Maybe he's planning a trip to MI for the $0.10 deposit? There was a Seinfeld episode on that...

You are to be commended Dennis. They are lucky to have a good friend like you.

I getting really tired of having bottle laying around all the time. Wish they would burn! Think I am switching to cans, they take up less room. And yes, we all agree, I like beer. Still working off a hangover from Friday night, lol.
