New BK Princess Ultra & DW pipe question?

My double wall pipe does will not seat all the way down on my new BK Princess Ultra outlet. Sould I worry about this or is it okay the way it is? The inner pipe goes into the stove flu a little bit but stops where the pipe flange gets back to full size. I was thinking about putting a steel band around it but I just wanted to make sure it wasn't designed like this. Thanks for any help.
