Time to replace a broken Taco 0010-F3 circulator that is the main circulator for the boiler. I can replace it with the same Taco, but would switching to a three speed like a Grundfos be a better idea?
it looks like people who use the three speeds are happy.
Thanks!

Can you just change the cartridge?

I can. As far as I know the cartridges for the newer 010 tacos will fit my older one. But if a better system is only a hundred twenty or so more I would do it.

I have both on my system I have the single speed Taco and some three speed Grundfos. Installed my system in 2009 some of both brand are from 2009 and some aren't. The three speeds are nice if you want to customize your flow rate. The med speed seems to be about right on my system. I have 11 pumps on my system so I have a few pumps.
