Is there any helpful information I need to know before starting the first fire in my new Defender? I live in a large-ish Tiny house (330 sq ft, with lofts and 12ft ceilings) I have it piped with double wall interior and triple wall exterior, with a 5ft pipe rise from the stove to the elbow through the wall thimble. I have some 3yr old oak firewood, so it should burn hot with good draw.

VZ Defender?
There is some info on them around here...use the search feature, I think you will find lots of info...

Make sure the wood is dry inside. The two 90º turns are going to rob some of the strength of the draft. How much vertical rise is there in the flue system from stovetop to chimney cap?

Once that stove gets going, it's gonna be warm in the ole cabin tonight.
