New England - How did your pellet stove handle the job last night?

How did your pellet stove handle the job with the colder temps last night/this morning (I know, nothing like what some of you see on a normal basis)? How many and what pellets did you use overnight?

Was -7 deg F on the way into work this morning. Had my stove set on room temp manual at 64 and it handled the night just fine on about a third of a bag of MWP blend.

Room temp, 70 degrees. 70 first floor, 66-67 upstairs. Used 2/3 bag of MWP in approx 10 hours.

Got down to -1 here in eastern Maine...burned about a half a bag of MWP hardwood thru the 10-CPM..when I went to bed it was 72 inside and when I got up it was 70.

1st floor 74ish maybe a little more 2nd floor 71/72 nice and toasty stopped using the MWPs and Cubex is running the show ! Was -10 @ 530 AM !

Got down to about 4 here in SW NH. Downstairs was 68 and the upstairs (bedrooms) were 65. I set the Quad to run on low continuously knowing that the temps were going to get really low and that helped a lot. It kept the upstairs a nice consistent temp.

Those temperatures are nothing to crow about overcoming folks. I still have no reason to change what I'm burning.

Wait until the high for the day is also down there as well.

I can remember walking to school and back when it was twenty below and the wind was blowing several inches of partly cloudy back and forth across the roads.

Neither do I! Set the thermostat to desired temp and forget it for me. The stove will figure out what it needs to do to keep the temp at the setpoint.

I asked because I wanted to see how many people changed over to a high price pellet because of the below normal temps.

Did I miss something? Only got down to 3 degrees at my place. Not bad. Still 70 in the house, went thru half a bag or so of Green Teams from 10:30 PM till 5:30 this AM.

We had 3ºF this morning. Stove was chuggin along(feed level 3) with GT's and the house was 70ºF(normally its cycled to low by now). If it gets much colder I'll need to start on the cubex I have in stand by. I'll prolly scoop out whats left in the hopper tonight and dump a few bags of the cubies in. Supposed to be a tick colder tonight.

I'm still burning EasyBlaze (just picked up another ton). I left the stove on level 2 last night when I went to bed. When my 4 month old woke up around 2am, the living room was around 69, so I bumped the stove up to level 3. It's back down on level 2 right now. I think we were down in the teens last night.

12 degrees outside when I got up. The Mt Vernon burned about 1/2 bag last night and kept the house at the thermostat set point (65 at night, warmed up to 70 before I got out of bed).

About 60f upstairs (stove is downstairs) using HD's pellets was about 12f last night.

Filled her up around 6:00pm with a country blend of Turman, Okanagan and some floor-swept Dry Creek from a careless forklift driver (er...that would be me!). Cranked her up on high and watched some Bichin' Bowl games while sipping some delightful bourbon. Went to bed around 11:00 and woke up to 3200 square feet of 70 degree happiness. Don't get me wrong, the stove was working harder than a Budweiser Clydesdale in July....but she was gettin' her done!

Also running the Harman Oakwood with Envi Blocks.

1 degreee here. Buring MWP Softies. P68 barely broke a sweat last night to stay at 72.. Did burn thru about 3/4 bag. Nice airy log home.......
Keep feed on 4 but do not think it runs that long each cycle - Room Temp Auto.

70 degrees in my 1800 sq. ft. ranch this morning here in snowy Lewis County, NY. Just what I had it set at when I went to bed. Tonight the forecast is predicting -10 below so it'll be my P61A's first real test of typical North Country January evenings. By the way, I'm burning premium 100% Hardwood Empire brand pellets made in Theresa, NY.

I'm comparing mine to what I USED to have to deal with (basement wood stove and oil heat). We got down to 3 above last night.

In the "old days" that meant my wood stove was overcome around 1-2 am and the oil kicked on and off all night after that to maintain 66 main floor and 64 in the bedrooms until I got my a$$ out of bed to reload the stove. 30 min later, it would finally start to warm up again.

Last night, 1/3 bag of pellets kept it 71 on the main floor and 68 in the bedrooms. The stove was on RT Auto with the knob set for 70 and I got to sleep 30 min longer because I didn't have to stuff wood into it and keep an eye on it.

I'm waiting to see how it will do when the high is 5-10 above and the wind is whipping down from the hills into the side of my house. No matter how well it does, I know it will do better than my old setup.

Last night It was 15 deg. here In Plaistow and tonight It Is suppose to be 4 Deg. So I changed over from burning shoulder pellets(Okies and Vermonts ) to my cold weather pellets Cubex. The only difference I see Is the okies and Vermonts make an ash In the burn pot that looks like a woolie worm and the Cubex ash Is very fine. Stove running In room temp. at 70.Deg. The room farthest away from the stove In my Cape house was 68 and the upstairs bedrooms were 68 deg. I am happy

T'was a balmy 19 degrees outside last night and burned less than 1/2 bag of Barefoots with stove on low. Temp inside was 68 at 7AM. Tonight we get down to +7 degrees and will burn the other half of the Barefoot bag.

Started the new year off right yesterday at 6:00AM. Shut down the Accentra and gave her a good cleaning. Fired her back up at 7:30 and she kept the house at a toasty 71F downstairs and 69F upstairs, almost too warm to sleep in. My lower level is a balmy 72.5F right now...Oh, I love pellets. If I kept the house this warm with #2HHO, I'd be in bankruptcy court by March!
