The other Cape..
Putting the Castile to bed. After 12 plus years its time. Been a great stove and not to many issues with it
at all. I’m going with a bigger Harmon insert 52i. Hopping it last just as long.

Im getting tired of buying expensive pellets ever year. The quad has always been a little fussy with lesser pellets.

hopefully the Harmon I can toss whatever into it. Just a FYI I did hear like everything else out there that the lead time is 16-18 weeks once inventory is gone. Post pics when I install.

cheers!

Congrats! I run both my stoves mainly in middling pellets that are $50-100 per ton less than most pellets around here. They both run without any fuss and keep me plenty warm. Sure, I'll get some of the nice pellets off CL for a nice discount at times, and buy 5-10 bags of others just to try out, but the majority of my burning is of the TSC white bag variety (MWP's at my local store).

I go thru 5-6 tons per year so am not about to pay $300/ton or more.

If I had to pay much over 200, I'd just run straight corn. I guess you folks out east are well off, or that least retailers think you are...

Cost of living - everything from housing, heating fuels (all types) and goods are more expensive than the Midwest (AFAIK anyway). Wages usually reflect that COL so it all evens out in the long run. I think the most effective measure would be % of income versus actual $. And no, I have no idea what those numbers would look like.

Well all in. Man was that a lot more heavy then my Castile. I’m excited for the cold now.

Looks good. Honestly, I'm not fond of inserts because of the cleaning aspect. It's a big enough cleaning a freestander as it is.

Very nice, congrats

That is part of having a pellet stove. I was a chimney sweep So cleaning stoves I actually enjoy.
