Hi all,

First time poster her!

I bought a new home with two indoor traditional vented fire places. Both are the same make and model. See photos. I want to add gas logs. Do I just add new gas logs with current burner? Or do I have to change the rack and burner to accommodate the gas logs?

That's a Log Lighter for igniting cord wood, used in lieu of kindling.
You have to pull out the log lighter all the way back to the feed pipe coming in.
The grate has to go as well. The new gas logs will have to be connected to the
existing gas line. You will also need a damper clip installed if you are going to
use a vented gas log set.
