New house - new stove

just bought a house - built in 62. The wood stove is pretty standard- except it has fold down like doors inside the glass doors. It comes down when a lever on the left is rotated. It splits in half and covers the whole opening. What is this? Sorry I’m new to this.

While I’m at it there is a low medium high lever bottom right in that pic as well and I’m not sure what that’s for either.
