[Hearth.com] New paint on old Fisher [Hearth.com] New paint on old Fisher
Just burning off the new paint on this old rust bucket someone gave me. These old stoves are awesome, it's cruising at 620 stove top with a 3' chimney. I just can't get the doors hot enough to bake the paint really good. If anybody wants to know I didn't use any primer or anything like that just paint. I used a grinder with a flapper wheel and a wire brush by hand to prep it. Then rinsed off with water, dried it with my compressor. Rust-oleum specialty high heat ultra paint semi gloss. Paint seems to be sticking good after 45 mins.
