I am having a hard time finding NEW (not rebadged) models of wood stoves coming out in 2026, looks like it will be a slow year for innovation. I looked at all the big names and it looks like the same products as last year. Nothing really jumps out as new technology (green start/hybrids/glass that changes).

HPBExpo won't be till March, so maybe we will see some releases then.

The EPA's list hasn't been updated since September 2024: https://www.epa.gov/compliance/epa-certified-wood-heater-database

That’s because all the manufactures are struggling to meet the new EPA testing requirements and can’t release some stoves til they are retested. 10 states air regulators sued the EPA back in 2023 which led to the elimination of the cordwood testing method. Now they have to test with a crib fuel method which isn’t even close to real world burning like the cordwood test was. Manufactures now have to spend more on R&D for their current stoves before they can spend on something new.
