Took delivery of a new Wetterlings splitting wedge the other day...initial 'testing' indicates it'll be a good one. I've used the 'wood grenade' mostly over the last few years as my cheap standard wedges are too hard to set. The new Wetterlings has a rounded cutting edge that seems to set quickly and it's twisted design works pretty well popping the rounds.

Anyone else have a favorite style of wedge?

...well...back out to the pile for more 'testing'...lol...

Here's my fav. Before I got it, I used as many as three conventional wedges with a sledge hammer and had all three stuck along with one or two axes.
