Good morning all, I've been on the hunt for a new wood stove, mainly looking at a BK Princess for the past couple weeks. Basically for a no thrills BK Princess (single jacket, no ash pan and on legs) I'm looking at about 3 grand for the stove only, pick up at the dealer. I just wanted to compare costs with others that went down this road. I need to take action soon as some of the dealer have said order now for a fall pick. Thanks -

If I remember correctly starting prices for princess insert were $3200-$3600 in ct.

Probably not too far off, but haggle anyway. See if you can get the blowers thrown in or something. You'll want them anyway.

Can I ask where you are calling around...I'm in NW NJ and will be looking to get a Princess insert probably next year. My current plan is to pick up 2-3 cords this summer and let 'em dry out, get the insert next summer and hope to hell this winter isn't nearly as bad as last year's. First year in a house with oil heat so I'm not looking forward to the winter however my current budget is dictating that I wait until next year for the insert.

FYI I'm not looking to completely replace my boiler; just supplement it maybe 50-60%. I know getting a stove would be more ideal however my long term plan as of right now is the insert in the family room and maybe a pellet pooper stove in the living room.
