Northeast Pellets..... WOW!

Been burning Energex blend from Quebec but saw these at Tractor Supply so picked up 10 bags to try and WOW what a difference! More heat, less ash, less pellet consumption and a cleaner stove.
These pellets are made here in Maine, and are almost white in color which leave me suspecting they are made from white pine and maybe spruce. Either way they are$30/ton cheaper than Energex, makes me wish I bought 4 tons of Northeast instead

Been burning Northeasts every year Matt made pellets. I think he uses a blend but I know not the ratio. Sometimes you find bags with excess fines, sometimes bags with pellets over an inch long. These are not designer pellets, but they burn good, produce good heat and are not expensive. The past 3 years they've retailed for 199.00 a ton. Not a bad product and they're made in the "County."

My local TSC have their branded hardwood pellet (barcode comes up as Lignetics) and these North American Pellets. This is what the NAP bag look like, are these them? After barcode lookup it lists them as Curran Renewable Energy LLC. They are a hardwood]softwood blend. I picked up some to try this week. Running some Green Supreme now.

Those are not Northeast, they come in a white bag with yellow and orange lettering.

I have only burned 2 bags, but I am very happy with my PA pellets so far. Seem to put out much more heat than the ones i bought from home depot last year.

Every TSC in this area is flooded with those North American pellets right now. Reminds me of last year when Green Supremes flooded every Lowes in the area.

Here are some pics. I filled the stove at 7pm last night and wife said she filled it at 430 pm and it didn't take a full bag. And stove is hooked to thermostat.

this thread is relevant to my interests.
we actually got a TSC here last year. i'm not sure what they have stocked, and i don't need any now, but i will be keeping an eye out to try these at some point in the future if they are available.

the other local supply is a 15 mile round trip to the area stove shop.
but the TSC is right up the road, and that would make hauling them home in split loads in the subaru actually feasible.

I actually just burned 3 bags of these. I had bought a ton of Geneva pellets from TSC, but 3 of the bags somehow were wet, and just mush. They gave me 3 bags of these NE pellets. They do burn hot, and seem to ration nicely, but I thought the ash was interesting. It seemed clumpy. As my M55 would burn them, the agitator would push the ash off the to the side, but it would build up quite a bit, almost forming a bridge towards the ends of the agitator. I wish I got some pics to post. I can get some tonight. I actually changed my stove setting from premium to "normal" so the agitator would spin more to clean the firepot out better. I thought they just weren't a great pellet, but you guys seem to love them. hmmm...

sounds like they might compare to how the crabbe pellets burn in my quad pot in my PS50.
those produce a hockey puck of ash, not a clinker per se, but i did not like having to stir or clear the pot every 10 to 12 hours.

the mwp blend have a very light ash that gets blown out of the pot so it stays clear indefinitely when i burn them.

I just cleaned the stove. Forgot to et the pictures. I couldn't believe the ask build up on the sides though, vs the genevas. And it's just a dark black ash too.

I burned a few bags of Northeast this week--longest pellets I have ever seen, and built up a ash cake in my stove too burning at my middle setting. Going to run her a little hotter to see if it makes a difference.
