Yes I did, but have not installed them yet. I want to clean all that creosote out first. They were kind of yellowish pink in color. Never saw any firebricks other than off white. Hope they can handle the heatHave you gotten the fire bricks?

2 thoughts you can cut them to fit with an angle grinder or get the ones begreen said.Lowes dimensions diagram is in error, the product listing says 9" x 4". Will conventional 9"x4.5"x1.25" fire bricks work?

I think either way would be fine. It will hold more heat with the bigger blocks but which ever you decide should be fineEven Lowe’s specifications section is wrong. Lesson learned. I could use the thinner bricks and just cut 1/4” inch of the ends of a row of bricks
That looks pretty restrictive for space. I would use standard, 1.25" thick stove brick instead.This is the layout I was planning to use. If the blocks were 4.5” wide and 2.25” deep it would work perfectly
