I have a new eclassic OWB running for 3 months now. Water has tested ok using the CB test kit BUT I noticed over the past few weeks the water has a picked up a brownish tint. Can anyone clue me in on what to do?

Thanks. Ed

I have two completly seperate systems. Both turned brown after adding water conditioner. I called manufacturer and was told this is normal. It semms to test fine, both my home test and where I send to a lab.

Mine hasn't turned brown but I have some sort of haze and clear ??? substance in the water. all tets show everything is fine but these globs will cause the sight tube on the back to not drain properly. It doesnt seem to be getting any worse but I was concerned for a while about it causing problems with the circulation. Do you have any of this in yours?

Only a guess, but the brown may well be some initial rust corrosion which now has stopped due to proper chemical concentration. I don't recall if CB eclassic is open or closed (pressurized)? If open, monitoring boiler water will be quite important. If closed, once boiler water is conditioned (mostly just pH plus maybe O2 scavenger), little else needs to be done.

Follow mfr recommendations to protect warranty, etc.

No globs in my eclassic water (just a bit brown), and water drains fine from tube.
