Hi guys,

I’m having a hard time wrapping my head on how some things work regarding outside air kits as it pertains to the fp30. It’s going to be installed soon.

So the air adjustment lever on the front of the fireplace only controls the flow of air from the room into the unit?

How do I control how much air is fed in from the OAK?

Since I will have an OAK, will turning the lever to the lowest setting for room air intake be sufficient or will I have to seal it?

Thanks! I may be overlooking some things as I’m a rookie.

There should not be any room air going into your firebox after you install the OAK. So the lever will control the amount of outside air coming in.
