I just had the t5 insert installed in my existing masonry fireplace and am really happy with the stove. Thank you to everyone here for making this a fantastic forum!

Where is the best place to put the burn indicator/thermometer on this style of stove? The cast iron shelf/cooktop that sits on top of the steel firebox doesn't seem to register the temps that I think the Firebox is at.

On the stove face above the door. Here is an older pic of where I used to have them. I have moved them inward about 5" or so now.
