Question:
I'm interested somewhat in the pellet/corn variety of stove burners. Do they make such an animal that is small, efficient, like for a cabin or emergency situation where there would be no source of electrical power to auger the material into the unit.
Answer:
None that I know of that do not use electric. Some have battery back-up that can run the unit for a few hours without power...but that will not do in an extended power failure.
Take a look at the models at Thelin - they are doing some neat stuff with battery backup.
Wood might be the best choice for emergency back-up.
