Pellet stove hot air flow

Hi from Spain...
About 8 years ago we reformed an old house here in Spain.
We decided on a pellet burner and, after a fair bit of investigation, we settled on the manufacturer Piazzetta.
The main reason for choosing Piazzetta was that the hot air is vented from the bottom of the the burners - which made loads of sense as hot air rises!
Now we have moved house and would like to replace the old wood burner for a pellet burner.
We have looked for manufacturers that have models which vent at the bottom but, to our amazement, there still only appears to be Piazzetta?
So the question is, why?
Surely a bottom vent is the better option?
Hope someone can give us an insight as to why most manufacturers are ignoring basic science?

I would think it is just a matter of cost and ease for most companies. Much easier to discharge the hot air from directly above the fire box.

My stoves are only a couple of feet tall.Not sure that makes much of a difference. My stoves have very large ash pans down below. I would guess that the heat that comes out the top of the firebox is hotter than routing the heat below (the pipes are heated directly by the fire). If the stoves were taller, it might make a bigger difference, but the air out of my stoves spreads out and the floor is actually quite warm about 5' in front of the stoves.

I had a look inside the Piazzetta when it was being installed, with the extra fan being fitted onsite for the rear ducting, and I have to say that it didn't look overly complicated.
Our original stove was purchased due to its slim depth - so it was tall and wide.
This time, her that should be ignored wants a corner unit... something similar to this Estufa de pellets canalizable vintage FUJI R12 12kw.
Not heard of this manufacturer so need to do a bit of research and ask my best mate (Google) for some help!

Hope she doesn't see this post or you will need two pellet stoves, one for in the garage for you and one for the house for her.

Looks like a nice stove and you can heat your water on it or just put a pot on for humidity. Not sure what that little box with the fancy white handles is for.

Either could be a fancy extended hopper, or a food warmer. Either way, it is fancy.

OK, we got what we paid for 🤦‍♂️
The FujiSol didn't even last a full season before playing up!
Eratic burning and the main fan starting and stopping.
Then at times it would start, speed up then slow down then repeat over and over with differing times in between speeding up and slowing down.
FujiSol sent a new sensor and fan for me to fit...
No joy - in fact it got worse!
After the cooldown period the stove would switch off but, 10-15 minutes later the fan would start and stop, and start and stop continously.
Only way to stop it was to unplug...
They wanted to send a main board for me to fit - at that time we just wanted them to pick up the stove, take it back to the factory and repair or replace it.
At first they refused to do that, insisting that we replace the board.
After many WhatsApp messages and emails they came and collected it.
That was early July and by the beginning of October we had not had the stove returned.
In fact no communication from FujiSol whatsoever.
So we have asked for our money back - with no response so far.
Whilst we have initiated legal proceedings, we have decided to get a Piazzetta P163T form a local supplier.
They have a Piazzetta techie that has been working for them for almost 30 years installing wood and pellet burners.
He also has over 10 years installing and maintaining Piazzetta stoves 👍

I think the heat rising is the reason most stoves are top discharge. The stove is the hottest at the top, so the air blows across the top and out into the room.
