Hello

Removing an auger motor sometimes is not as easy as removing the bolts and having the motor just drop out by itself. I found some Pelpros and Enviros need a little persuasion!
This Pelpro HHPP2BD is so rusted because it had damp pellets and stored in a basement!

See rusty auger on this stove
Pelpro Sticky and real rusty auger with dirty & torn auger bearings & frozen auger collar - fixed!
https://www.hearth.com/talk/threads...er-bearings-frozen-auger-collar-fixed.144495/

Has anyone else had any difficulty like this?

See pics below
Remove back and side panels
1. Pelpro Pellet Stove
2. Spray Auger motor bracket bolt, other side bolt and auger motor collar set screw with PB Blaster
3. Cut 2 pieces from a 1" x 2" pine trim board approx 1-7/8" long. The wood should fit between the screw holes on the front of the auger motor gearbox.
4. - 5. Using a small pry bar and hammer bang the motor off. Use no wood then 1 piece and then 2 pieces as the gap gets wider to get the motor all the way off. Pry the motor from below the auger shaft and above the auger shaft so it comes off evenly. Also bang the auger back up and spray the PB blaster a few more times. It comes off faster this way.
6. Auger motor is off! - See rust and wood pices
7. Auger end plate. see Rust.
Reverse the above steps to install the new auger motor.

Use a wire wheel on your drill driver to remove the rust and use "Dry Moly" spray to protect against more rusting.

Hello

Here are a few more pics

Pic 8 - Transfer the stop bracket onto the new upgraded GA auger motor. Then turn the shaft so the flat spot is opposite the side of the bracket.
Pic 9 - Upgrade the set screw to a heavy set bolt. Replace the auger collar with a new one if needed.
Pic 10 - set bolt and auger collar ready to go.
Pic 11 - Tighten set bolt with socket set rachet
Pic 12 & 13 - Plug in wires and motor is all set.
