I have an old Florence, 101 years old, made for coal so I like big chunks of wood, like a seven inch square cube.. but I can feed it anything, I have put 20 inch rounds eight inches thick in it for a new fire, just burn smaller stuff on each side to get it going, sounds crazy but it works..
