So after reading all the threads on here about the Monia and other Piazzetta's I have decided to pull the trigger and get one installed. Guy is coming out tomorrow to give me an install quote. Want to give a shout out and big thanks to Chken and Pascal for all the great info in the threads i have been reading. Fingers crossed these guys know how to setup the stove!!

I'm on the 3rd year with my Monia and still love it. I know so much about it thanks to this great forum.
I'm about to start my second year with mine. We have been pleased with the stove in general. As with any device that offers a high degree of customization, you can get it very dialed in or screw it up depending on the knowledge of who sets it up. Ok, "screwed up" is overstating it but if you are here you have probably already read the threads about the service codes and fan timings.
I did notice a huge difference in how well it operated with different fuel. Somerset's left tiny amounts of white ash that I cleaned ever 3 days. Freedom Fuel (uhhhhggg) meant cleaning every 12 hours if you wanted to stay ahead of it. Nothing new here... pellet stoves are fuel dependent, go figure...
If I had to do it again, I'd still go with the Monia, so that should say something.

Bought my stove online 1 month ago. Installed myself and stove ran great for 2 weeks burning about 4 bags through it. Went away for a week and since home I get safety smoke warning after 1 minute on phase 1. Flue is not blocked hopper is not open any advice would be greatly appreciated. It is an alf 1 reading by the way. I have no guy in the area that I know of that works on these stoves. Beginning to regret my decision. Did not know you needed to be a computer engineer to run this thing. Help please.
One, you should start a new thread so that more people can see your issue.
Two, make sure the hopper switch is functioning.
Three, Check the gasket on the hopper and the door for a good seal.
Four, your flue isn't too long?

thanks for the reply. I thought for sure it was the hopper switch. Bypassed the switch and still did not work. Flue is only 12 feet. Hopper gasket good. there is a peice of door gasket maybe 1 inch in length max that appears to be burnt so probably not getting a good seal in that area. Dont know if that would be enough to cause this. I will start a new thread as well
Thanks for the replys. seems like a good quote as well they really seemed to know about dialing it in as well so that is a plus. Should be here to install end of next week. Having a problem finding softwood where i'm at in upstate NY. Looks like the ones that are the most prevalent is Barefoot, hardwood blend and Instant heat. Most people around here seem to say that the Barefoot's treat them well. Noted not to get freedom fuel..lol..thanks

The vac is great, just be aware that the plastic parts, like where the hose connects to the vac is delicate and can break. Mine has a crack, but still works fine.

Hi,
there is a cold test of all of the components that you can do first with the F5 code are you aware of this code and how to use it ? see below. Cause if the combustion fan is not working the auger will also not operate and you will get the same message
there is a small coper nut cap just on top of the thermostat probe wire see if it's in place and hand tight properly, it's such a silly cap but believe me if not in place properly that's what you will get as a message too.
*** this message is yes also related to the hopper switch if you start the stove can you ear the auger if not and depending on your ability to do so,,,,
unplug the stove or you will know you havent, remove the front grid to aces to the hopper switch wire and try bypassing them whit a wire or paper clip if it works then you will need the hopper switch to be change

Total max. time 20 seconds.

Check of pressure switch open (if closed, activates SAFETY SMOKE ALF2)

The test is to be carried out when unit is OFF: no flame.
Enter into the MAIN MENU, *** hit 6 for 3sec, 6 until you get to
SETTINGS FACTORY

Cold testing to verify components. Diagnostic check.
The test is activated with the confirmation of access code F5;
pressing 1 The auger motor activates (as you should hear the motor turning) and the displays shows the letter c .
pressing 2 The igniter turns on ( as you should hear a quick click) and the display shows the letter A .
pressing 5 The room fan turns on ( as you may feel the air editing the unit)and the displays shows the letter V.
pressing 6 The exhaust fan turns on ( as you will hear and feel air being force out the rear flue pipe) and the display will show the letter F.
by pressing 3 ALL ELECTRONICAL COMPONENTS ARE ACTIVED SIMULTANEOUSELY the display shows all the letters A V C F
NOTE: each function may be deactivated by pressing the same button a second time.
It possible at any time to exit from the cold test by pressing button #4.
if still you cant get it to work well give me a buzz some time it's Much easier to go with Facetime or Skype

Hey, Hi every one! yep I’m back I see that my friend Chken is always around helping people out this guy must ern a medal. For my part, well fishing and camping all summer plus, I was invited to go to Italy for a week by Piazzetta to get formed as a Piazzetta certified technician all-expense paid. All do I had the pretention of knowing much on these stove, I still learned more specially on how to fine tune the stoves. Soon I’ll post a how to for Piazzetta complete A to Z on what has and what can be change with step by step programme sheet hope it will be suitable for all left aside customers out there believe me Piazzetta are great stove and I will help you discover this. I’m adding you a nice photo from inside the company yard looking to the Rocca di Asolo on the upper left montane. it was a very nice trip I also had the chance to go to Venise and test my Italian language.. it was perfect ! and by the way Lake girl since you are a crew member, If I come up with a complet file like this would it be better to start a new post or do you have any better idea, thanks

Just received my warrantied parts from Piazzetta yesterday, new rear baffle, burn/fire pot and ash lip/flameguard. All parts look cosmetically different from the original parts especially since the flame guard is STAINLESS STEEL

i'm very happy to ear this cause the stainless lip was not supposed to be available for now even do they gave me one on my trip to Italy and there was many more on the assembly line they said that pacific energy needed to go tru there old stock first hope my customer will get that one too. but to tell you the truth i have installed mine since june and havent realy heat that much but the nice stainless color is gone and now look prety much like the old one beside the fact that it is in good condition hope they would have come up with a cast iron one.
That must have been great being able to go to the factory and then tour Italy. The A-Z tutorial is a fantastic idea, I should hope it becomes a Sticky thread as to not get lost after new threads push it down. Looking forward to reading the tutorial.
