Pipe Setup For My New P61

So I bought a P61 off CL to replace my Magnum Baby. One problem I'm running into is the difference in exhaust height between the two stoves. It's 17.25 for the Baby and 9 for the P61. The exhaust pipe I have is Duravent. Seems like the pipe sections on my indoor vertical rise are set lengths. Is my only option to move the wall thimble or is there a way to customize the pipe length of the vertical rise? Thanks!

Oh, that's a good idea. It's a decent height increase. Would I just frame it out to build height? Thanks.

Or just raise the hearth as little as needed to fit in an adjustable section or shorter section of stove pipe. I’ve done a few raised hearths for woodstoves and a simple framing job is sufficient unless your stove requires a particular insulative value for the hearth which is not common for pellet stoves.

Remember that you’ll still need to lift bags into the top so maybe the raised hearth needs to be wide enough for you to step up and stand on.

Ah, now that makes a lot of sense! Instead of 8 inches I can go up 2 1/4 inches and add a 6 inch pipe section. Very smart, thanks!
