Hello!

I happened across a small pot bellied stove for $50. The only identification on it is "NO 828-55". I was wondering if anyone has seen one of these before or knows what it is.

Any help would be great!

They come up for sale from time to time with never a hint as to manufacturer. Seen them from $50 to $1000. They are not a caboose stove as advertised.

If you Google images of the “US Stove 1869 caboose potbelly coal” that may be it. Need better front pics, grate, close ups of the rest of the stove to identify it.

Numbers on stoves were normally the diameter of burn pot. This could be 8 inch grate or eye, or for a #8 pan that doesn’t necessarily measure 8 inches and possibly 28 inches high? They look like a Conestoga 1888 knock off from the Atlanta Stove Works. Lots of copies from China and Taiwan such as the Vogelzang PB65XL . Phillips head screws give newer copies away.
