Hello I recently rented a home and would like some guidance please!! I have this fireplace which has a gas line in it as shown in the pictures. According to the badge it can be used as wood burning also. Since I can't find any specific information online is there anything I need to do to be able to use this as a wood burning fireplace safely? the blower does not function.

Thanks!

get the whole system inspected to make sure it is usable. If it is then Have the gas line removed and the hole patched. Get the proper grate for it. get a screen for it and then you can burn in it. But dont expect much heat out of it they are not good heaters at all
