Brand new (out of the box) Classic Bay insert. Turn up thermostat, call light comes on as it is suppose to, blue light on control panel comes on along with exhaust fan for about 5 seconds, fan shuts off then comes back on for a few seconds continuously. Blue light stays on. Pellets will not drop and stove will not start up. Any ideas?

Call the dealer?

Yep. This is the same stove you thought "overheated"? If its doing that? Your power supply is screwed? Your t-stat wires or wiring harness is screwed, or your control board is screwed. Or all the above.

Call the dealer. It's brand new and under warranty

as mentioned above, that Quad's a good unit, still under warrantee....parts AND labor should be covered, at no cost to you (other than maybe travel time), from the dealer who sold you the unit..........

Control box might be on the test setting, CALL DEALER!

Eric

How many blue lights you got? Should be 1

1 blink, every 10 seconds, for the first 60 sec

OP. Open right side (facing stove). Remove control box and turn to #1 setting. (Side plate behind door will need to come off, to get at the board).

If you open the hopper lid, you will see a small square metal box on the right side, the control box is behind it. Screws need to be removed from opposite side.

Good luck... And we need pics when it has a nice fire in it :)

unplug it first

You guys are awesome. Got is dialed in and running. Another question - how long should it take for the convection fan to come on after stove starts up? Sure seems like to stove is getting awful hot before fan kicks on.

It's been months since I used mine. Takes a little while, probably 5-10 mins. Sorry, that range might not help much...

I'm not sure of the exact time ( bet DExterDay does ! Lol ) but I fired mine the other day and 5 plus mins seems about correct . You got yourself a great stove ! A good thermostat will go along way . Enjoy and welcome to the club !

Took my stove a good 20 minutes for the convection fan to come on. By this time, the stove was really hot. I guess I will just keep an eye on it? Only other issue is a short flame. I have the manual adjustment open all the way, have the control panel set to +10% feed rate, and I'm burning Lignetics. Not sure what else to do with that.
