Professional bar and chain?

I use both kinds of chains and there is little difference in cutting effectiveness. Your sharpening skill is more relevant than whether there are anti-kickback humps on the chain.

Never used anti-kickback and use whatever bar is best buy not the cheapest.

About half of my bars are low-kickback because that's the bar that came with the saw. Most of my chains, however, are regular. There is no single design for a low-kickback chain, so some may be a little better than others for a particular type of cutting.

Low kickback bars and chains have a reputation for not being best for bore (plunge) cutting, and I concur. I also find some designs a little more difficult to hand file.

I use anti kickback chains for cutting frozen or snow covered logs , full chisel when it's not frozen. I always use a yellow coded bar (stihl) regardless of chain type

Oregon makes the bars and chains for Husky. I don't like the cheaper Oregon bars. Somebody on another site said "They are made out of cheese" I think he is correct. The Powermatch bars are ok but a Stihl ES is my favorite. I switched to Oregon LGX due to the price as they are 1/2 the price of Stihl around here.

I use LGX too and really like it, holds a decent edge and the price is decent. I'm not a pro so......... more than those points and it doesnt much matter to me.

I've never heard of an anti-kickback bar - not sure what that would be

I haven't used a low kickback chain in. . . 10+ year

Stihl has a green bar and a yellow bar I believe the colors refer to what chain it should have on it? May be wrong about that tho

Whether it's a bar or chain, green means low-kickback. You may use green chain on yellow bars and yellow chain on green bars. If pitch, gauge, and number of drive links (DL) match what is specified for the bar, then the chain will be compatible.

Exactly treepointer.not sure what a pro bar and chain is but a pro saw is the only way to go

Low-kickback bars have a smaller nose radius.

I've always been of the opinion that using a standard bar non safety bar/chain is the way to go. When you properly handle a saw and use PPE a chainsaw is relatively safe, it's when you get complacent that they are a problem.
