Idaho
Hello stove folks, you know it's getting cold in Idaho because I'm working on the pellet stove. I have seen a few posts on this but haven't found a sure solution so I'm gonna put it up again. When I press the power button on the stove it clicks and the lights on the control panel come on. Then off then on and so fourth. I replaced the photo eye yesterday and got it to run all night but it ran out of pellets and now I can't get it going again. It I jump the connector for the photo eye at the panel it will come on like normal but eventually fault. At first if I wiggled the photo eye housing cover around it would start working normally so I replaced the terminal connectors in the housing but no dice. I am leaning towards the panel but I would like to try everything else first. Any ideas would be appreciated.
P.S. I cleaned everything on Sunday when this first happened. The lens, the motors, the exhaust, everything. Thanks

I don't have mine anymore, but when I did, I bypassed the photo eye and put in a snap switch on the exhaust blower. Does the same thing, just instead of the light of the fire, it does it based on exhaust temp. When you say you replaced it, did you put another photo eye in its place?

Regardless, I'd check your wires from the photo eye all the way back to the board, looking for broken wires or bad splices. At the board I'd look for loose connections in the wiring harness, if I'm remembering correctly.

I messed around with it last night and thought maybe my tstat was bad. So I unplugged the stove unhooked the tstat and jumped the block it hooks up to. When I plugged it back in the control panel is just pulsing the heat lights and thw calib light but absolutely nothing is happening now. I hooked the tstat back up and same issue

Hi again everyone, I thought I'd drop in and give an update since I can never really find a thread anywhere that says what fixed this issue. Since October I've been having issues will my Profile 30 clicking and not running. Either the control board would click or the blowers would come on and turn off. I replaced the photo eye, the amber lens, built a new photo eye wite harness and still the same issues. At one point I could get it to start by shining a flashlight in the pellet shoot and lighting it with a torch but eventually that quit working and the control panel didn't seem to respond to any button presses just flashed light erraticly. I finally broke down and ordered a new control panel even though I hate troubleshooting with new parts. Luckily, I hooked it up and the stove is running great. No issues now

Cool.I recommend a surge protector if you do not have one.
