Proper p43 corner install?

Ok getting all my materials ready for my p43 corner install. The best corner to use unfortunately is the same corner that I have prevailing winds. Oh well anyways can you guys out there tell me the exact pipes I will need to use. I am new to this and would like some help I will be going out then up I guess 4 feet? If i do the math (EVL) it is over 15 which says I should go to 4" pipe is that right? Thanks guys Best pipe to use? Cheapest/best place to find it?

you can prolly stick with 3" to do a 4' rise. you likely need a: stove adapter, 45 deg, 2'er, "T", 4'er, 90 deg, jet cap/termination, wall bracket, wall thimble. dont get a bunch of 1'ers if you can help it, that just makes it less esthetic than it has to be. not a bad idea to have a 5"-6" length just in case where you want to go through the wall has a stud right there and you have to extend a bit from the adapter to avoid it. good luck

I like Bio-Vent that has the silicone gaskets...never had a problem with leaks. I wish I had the Deluxe Terminator which has the OAK built-in to the pipe (2' or 3' length). It seems a lot neater on the install. Not sure if it would work well with your corner install.

Ok so I think I need an adapter, 45, 12" straight, thimble, T with clean out , 4' straight up, 90 elbow , horizontal cap. That sound right for a corner install? Also I will get a OAK set up. Anyone try the duravent kit from Home Depot? Says it's 24 gauge. I priced it out for my set up. $265.00. Anywhere cheaper I'm open ears

Here's my corner install inside and out with OAK.
Lot of wind as no houses to the right of the outside piping..
Just a huge lake and Cemetery....
Never had any wind problems with the Exhaust...

Yes,,, all 4 inch.....
[dryer vent cleaning brush tool fits perfect also.]
I just put a new post up with questions about cleaning the inside piping.]

I would go with 4" since you calculate EVL over 15 ... better to do it right the first time rather than find out it causes you issues. It will cost a bit more. I have 3" on my horizontal and the twin will be 4". We had big wind off the lake during the last storm w/o issue. We have a turbo cap but the hood may be better for direct wind.

Think that 12" straight should be 24"

I see pics all over this site that have corner installs with the same setup as mine and 3" piping. I understand my EVL is higher than 15 though. I swear this pellet stove project is giving me an ulcer. Cory127 thanks ! I see your avatar must be your corner stove. Do u have 3 or 4 inch piping? And do I have the right configurations as far as what I need besides what u corrected me on? Thanks

If you evl is over 15then 4in is the way to go. If the pipe is to small you'll have problems. The 4inch will work better than the 3. Don't sweat the minor things. Just follow the guide in the book and it will work fine.

I used: adapter, 45 deg, 24" straight, downspout at the end and the Harman Direct Vent Wall Passthrough; all 3". Sorry for my ignorance, but what is EVL? Didn't see that in the install manual.

EVL, Exhaust Vent Length? You'll have 1' off the stove + 2' through the wall + 4' vertical = 7' (rough estimate). I think you'll be fine with 3" piping unless I'm missing something. I really like the looks of my setup and it was easy as hell to put in. I read that with an OAK, you don't need the vertical because the smoke has 2 ways to get out of the stove, but I also put in a UPS just to be safe. Not sure if that would work for you.

I used the adapter, 1', 45* elbow, 3' straight, adjustable turbo outlet. All from Excell.
The 3' straight should have been a 2'. Going to change it this summer

I could not turn right and out the wall on my setup as the exhaust would have been Under a porch eave below 2nd floor bedroom.. .against building code..

Guys thinking about this kit by Selkrik. Thoughts ? I think I will just have to add a 45 degree elbow as well as another 12" pipe for it to go through the wall horizontal. That sound right for the corner install ? Also what is that type of termination cap??? I've seen the turbo cap and a regular cap before but not this kind. Is it like a damper type for high winds?

If you are going to have outside combustion air,might as well use same hole in wall,like tony and cory.If you are going to have some vertical,look at selkirk dt.

Guys if I am putting this in corner I am confused looking at pics online of the pipe kits they give you 5 one foot straight length pipes. 2 that will go through the thimble and three that connect to the clean out tee. Do I need the same as well as an additional 1 foot straight pipe that comes off the 45 inside? Thanks again
