Those things should give heat for quite some time. It might be greatly appreciated tonight too as it is going to get a bit chilly. Man that wind is raw out there.
Gotta love that big square firebox. I've been burning that stuff all winter except the few cold snaps we've had.
ive burning the ugly stuff as well for the last month and a half. only when its raining and im tired i dont go down to the ugly box to grab some.SolarAndWood said:

Gotta love these stoves, I loaded the little lady last night at 10pm the room was 72* when I turned it down, it's now 2:45pm and the room is still 72*.(we actually had winter type temps last night, 28* right now 
) If you want to heat with wood as trouble free as possible these stoves are the ticket. I remember saying I'd never have one since everyone said how "ugly" they were. I showed my wife and she said "It looks like a stove, if it'll work better for us lets get it". I know people get "sick" of reading about the way these stoves perform, it's hard not to talk about it when it still amazes me daily, sometimes to the point of making me giggle.
17 hours right now and no split was bigger than 4 inches across, just silly.......

I crammed a great big red oak knot in the other morning. It had been on top of the stack baking in the sun for three years. Took a bit to get it in there. I had to turn it around and upside down and back and forth a few times to get it through the door. A few other chunks made for some good burning.
That's it 21 hours on those puglies,I'm going to load her up now,stovetop 250,house at 73* we had temps last night of 28* with a good wind not too bad,boy I wish I could test this King out with a real winter.
