We are putting a new wood stove (Pacific Energy) into our kitchen to replace an old Jotul. Due to renovations in the kitchen, we have to move the new stove over approximately a foot to the left to ensure full clearance of combustibles out front of the new stove. We have the room to do this......BUT......it also means that the stack coming out of the top of the stove will now be off centre with the existing (through exterior wall) insulated wall thimble. Several options have been suggested.....use a 45 degree elbows on top of the stove and angle the pipe from the top of the stove to a 90 degree elbow at the old thimble........OR........go strait out the top of the new stove and use a 90 degree elbow to go across to another 90 degree elbow at the thimble and through the wall..........any suggestions are welcome.

I would always use 45 degree bends before 90s if possible since 90s hurt performance so much.

We had the exact same issue when we replaced out Jotul with the Alderlea. I used 45's to create the offset. Our offset is right off the stove. Normally they are put up near the ceiling for more efficient drafting, but we have plenty of chimney and the aesthetics dept. liked it lower. So be it. Works fine.
