OK guys and gals heres your chance to change my mind. Im about to buy a stove for a new construction home in the Sierras. About 2000 Sq ' , pretty open floor plan, great room about 16' x 2 Where the stove will go ) , with vaulted ceilings at about 2 at the ridge. 2- 54" ceiling fans and open to a loft (with a fan also )off of a mstr bed with a double door with another fan. Balance of 1st floor is a kitchen open to the great room and a 4' wide hallway to a bath and 2nd bedroom. Im not TOO concerned with heating these last two but dont want them freezing as well. Temps in the winter avg around 36 for a low and can drop to the teens about 4- 6 times a year for a total of maybe 20 days. The Stove I like is the Quad 4300 Step Top (partially for the looks) . So what do you all think.... Good choice or what do you think is better. Thanks in advance for any input.

Go for it. Looks like a great stove. If your mind's not made up, I'd also consider the 3cu ft. Englander, PE and Napoleon stoves. But Quads are solid, I think you'll be happy.

They are great stoves and I love mine. Its very easy to use.

Good pick....I like a big steel box too. Solid and simple, N/S loading, only one opening(gasket) and a nice view of the fire...sounds good to me.
