Hello To All From Rossville Tn! Hope everyone is having a great new year! Got a question on this unit? Unit will only run at a close to wide open speed . Replaced variable speed switch still have same issue. Dealer that installed unit originally claims the switch is the only thing that can cause this . Unit was installed in 2012. As many of you already know quadra fire will not speak to you on a technical issue unless you are a dealer.🤨God Bless And Take Care! 901-326-6779 hope thats ok to share on here !

Sounds like a faulty blower speed control. They wear out over time.

PS: I wouldn't share personal info. You never know who is reading the thread. It could be a neighbor or a bot out of Nigeria.

So are u referring to the switch on wall just replaced it. Can u not ohm between black wires on switch and turn know to check resistance? Thks

Was the switch that was replaced a rheostat? Was it replaced with the correct Quadrafire part?

This is a simple circuit with the rheostat in series with the motor.

Assuming that the new fan control is good, then it may be that the bearings on the motor are running dry so that the motor requires full voltage to rotate. Pull the blowers and clean thoroughly. Then see if there is a way to lubricate the bearings. If not, the motors or blowers may need to be replaced.
