Quadra-Fire fireplace gas insert model QFI30FB-IFT. Pilot flame will not ignite about 50% of the time. Have had this problem since new (2 years ago). Dealer tech has been out numerous times (cleaned & gapped igniter wire) but still the same problem. Have to unplug the power cord & then plug back in to reset the control module. Sometimes this works & sometimes it doesn't. Any suggestions on what the problem/fix is would be appreciated.

Does it spark each time and the gas valve open each time? I'm not sure how well you could see the location?

Sometimes I see the spark but sometimes not. If the pilot flame gets ignited then the main burner will ignite. However most of the time the pilot flame doesn’t ignite & you get a message to call a technician
I don't have the diagram handy, but I would change the control card if it makes the spark. Or at least check all the connections.
