Bought a house has pellet stove in and I can't get it to run. Put pellets in hopper, got the pellets to drop in fire pot. I seen the ignitor glow underneath but won't ignite the pellets. Red light on board stays on but auger only runs for a bit then seems to stop until I hit reset button. Thank you

Time to bone up on how to clean your stove. Most stove problems are due to being dirty. Download a manual and maybe see if someone has a video on youtube of how to clean your stove.
If not enough air is flowing through the burn pot pellets won't light.
Kappel is from Iowa and knows Quads very well so stop back after you have gotten dirty if you still have any issues.
Welcome

That explains your issue. Nothing to suck out the exhaust and get air into the burn pot. The motor-fan may just be stuck so a poke may nudge it into working.
Should not have even started to feed or try and start the igniter till a vacuum switch has been closed by the exhaust fan coming on. Someone probably has been screwing with that stove. Time to get a pro to inspect. Good luck

Hey Zach,

Below is a Quad start-up and troubleshooting schematic. As Bb noted, the auger shouldn't feed without the combustion blower generating enough draft to close the vacuum switch. Did the prior owner perhaps leave the wires to the vacuum switch jumpered / bypassed ? Control box issues can cause start-up sequence problems, so a simple thing to try that can rule out a control box electrical contacts glitch is, after UNPLUGGING the stove, to remove then reseat the control box.

As you said, Quads aren't too hard to work on, but like anything HVAC related trouble shooting is a process of elimination, starting with 'dirty stove syndrome', with 'high indexes of suspicion' including an ash obstructed combustion blower and / or burn pot holes and / or vent - exhaust pathway. Post back on any findings.

Regards, DK

Bottom two videos might prove helpful... maintenance and troubleshooting. Haven't viewed them so not sure how detailed they are but a starting point. (broken link removed to http://www.quadrafire.com/Owner-Resources/Use-and-Care-Videos/Castile-Pellet-Stove.aspx)

Manual for post 2009 Castile: http://downloads.hearthnhome.com/installManuals/7021_155.pdf

Otherwise, between kappel and DMKNLD, you should be able to get going...
