Hello

Like the movie 3 days of the Contour? LOL That was Condor!

I snagged this in a highway race to whom ever came first! Whew!

It measures 31 inches high as opposed to the 28 inches of the Santa Fe and made in 2,000.
Just enough extra height to hold a few more pellets and a warming compartment with glass door front.

The original owner said it worked very well for 13 years luckily!
He just bought a brand new Sante Fe to replace it.

It sure has the older non clear plastic control box.

The 13 year old open frame exhaust blower was getting very noisy so I gladly removed it.
I had a closed frame Fasco blower that was only a year old laying around with no mounting plate. So I cut the shaft on the original blower and took off the mounting plate, cleaned it up and sprayed some dry moly on it. Then I cut a new Lytherm gasket and threw it in with brand new heavier Stainless Steel screws.

I hooked it up to a T-Stat and plugged it in. Even though the T-Stat was in the off state, the exhaust blower started up and is running. It did go off after 10 mins like the Santa Fe.

Does the old control box on the Contour work differently?

P.S.
Just flicked the switch and it fired right up!

How long does it run??

The newer models run for 18 minutes I believe.

Nice stove Don.

Looks like a good unit. Needs a nice coat of paint though. Have you ever thought about painting any of your units a different color? Nothing outrageous. But a simple Honey Glo brown? Or a nice Burgundy?

Congrats in the race to the finish :)

My Feb 2002 manual also says 18 minutes, for what it's worth. (Old control box)

Thanks Dexter, I just posted a pic with it going.
I had the 25-PDVC in the paint shop.(Garage) so since the Contour was in the mini Blackwell House (Quad's name for their testing facility), I though I might as well fix it and test it.

The Harman P61 is Golden Fire Brown and I am not crazy about. Satin Black seems to sell best.

I do really like the Mojave Red the old Harman Invincibles are!

I had an Enviro in Mojave red, really sharp looking:cool:
