Quadrafire Mt. Vernon AC Pellet Stove Issue

Stove remains in Auto Clean and the Ash Pot does not open and close.

Auto Clean Motor, Gear Box, and Switch have been replaced without being hooked up to the Ash Pot. Arm does not move. The stove goes through Auto Clean and an error message to Check Ash Pan appears. After Ash Pan is checked, the stove goes back into Auto Clean mode, and then Check Ash Pan appears again. This cycle continues over and over. Ash Pan floor moves back and forth freely.

Any help on how to remedy this situation is appreciated.

Mt Bob thanks for the manual, the stove is at my cabin 52 miles away. when i get back up there i'll look at some things i seen in the manual.
