Quadrafire Mt Vernon AE auger jammed

Hey guys, I've read and learned a lot of information on here, and I hope someone can help with my problem. I'm getting the good old auger jammed error message. It has been consistent, the stove hasn't run once since I got the error. I believe I have gone through all the steps, thoroughly cleaned the entire stove especially the exit vents in back, cleaned hopper and auger tube, removed auger assembly and cleaned it off and wiped down optical sensor, jumped around the vacuum sensor to see if that was tripped, checked the over heat thermo on feed tube for tripped status. I think that's all I've done, been at it all day. What I'm wondering is whether the is a way to bench test the optical sensor, as well as the auger motor. I can't find anything solid as far as specs online. Also I'm wondering if the auger should be able to be turned manually by hand, as mine does not move at all. At this point I am ready to buy the motor, but I would like to be sure I haven't missed anything, or that I'm the right part. Thanks for any input, it will be appreciated.

If everything else checked out, I would say it is time for a new motor. The optical sensor can go bad, but if you can't turn the auger by hand, I would say the gears are shot. One suggestion I would make is to try and get the old motor off first, to see if you can, before ordering. Some of them buggers are a real pain to try and get off. You may be better off getting whole auger assy. Quad says there is no way to bench test these 12v motors. But I seem to remember someone tested theirs a long time ago. But I can't remember how they did it.What year stove is it? kap

Thanks for responding, I pulled the motor off the assembly today, damn thing is definitely frozen. Looks like I'm in the market for a motor. Thanks again Kap.
