I knocked the thermocouple out of it's mount while vacuuming, but can't seem to find an way to attach it to the pot. Not clips, holes mounts what's the trick?
Quadrafire CB 1200. Should have been in title.I knocked the thermocouple out of it's mount while vacuuming, but can't seem to find an way to attach it to the pot. Not clips, holes mounts what's the trick?
And yes the manual shows exactly what I'm seeing. A mount with nothing to hold on to.@Spaz, do you have a model number? I have a Mount Vernon AE and the thermocouple is held in his place with a clip and bolt. How about your owners manual?
Bottom of mount/clip should be under lip of burn pot and burn pot is screwed down holding mount in place.A mount with nothing to hold on to.

8:34 mark on video. If you are referring to the thermocouple it self it stuffs into the thermocouple cover the bulk of the wire holds it in place.
I watched the video and I don't see in the video what I see on my pot. The mount on mine has a circle at the bottom. Not a straight piece. Nor did I see in the video the bar that was cock eyed. That being said can I just remove the 2 bolts flip up the pot an stuff it back in? It appears it does rest on the edge of the bowl which is how I have it now but not stuffed into the hole. Stay tuned, it's going to be 50 tomorrow I might just try it.When I cleaned it today, I could see the bar that it hooks into. Unfortunately it's not sitting horizontal in the pot,I tried moving with a screw driver to no avail. It looks like it's spring loaded and should move up and down to lock the mount in but one end is stuck up not leaving a gap . I can't find a picture or diagram of this. Any one help out here? Not in the manual.
This is the mount I have, Is this the same one?
