I've read threads here on installing oak and am gearing up for the install. The manual shows the 2" stub at back of unit to attach the oak. What it doesn't show is that the other end inside is also a stub. I'm assuming that this stub needs to be connected to the other 2" stub where the intake damper going into the burn chamber is located?

You should contact the dealer you purchased it from with that question - some pellet stoves do not have a direct connect on the OAK. Makes no sense to me but you need to rule that style out...
I purchased this home recently and the stove was here already. I think it's at least 20 years old. I figured there would be others with the P23 that have come across this and would know if the section of pipe inside was ever there in the first place and removed for some reason. There is a good amount of negative pressure inside this area both from the combustion fan and the room fan and the manual shows nothing about it. I'm looking for stainless bellows type pipe now and will give Kinsman Stoves a call if I don't here anything more on here about it.
