Could not find anything in the charts about R value for this material... probably 4-5" thick.

The F55 just needs ember protection and it looks like he has glass on the floor.
 
If you are talking about the R value of stone, it is,more or less, zero. Stone transmits heat, or cold, and does not insulate.
You do need to extend that hearth about 18 inches.
 
He is talking about the R value of the cat. ;lol
